Many people know that melted cheese can be prepared at home, but laziness, lack of time or simply the unwillingness to spend a couple of hours in the kitchen makes it impossible for many to try something really tasty. Of course, it is much easier to go to the supermarket and choose the cream cheese at the counter.
However, not everything is so smooth: it seems that the date of manufacture is recent and the smell is not bad, but you bite a piece, where there is even homemade cheese! Completely two different products!
And what flavor, what flavor in the homemade cheese … Do not be lazy, and you will know what the real melted cheese should be like!
Homemade melted cheese
Salt, spices, herbs (to taste).
Pour the cottage cheese and soda into a small saucepan and put them in a water bath.
Crush the cottage cheese so that there are no lumps and mix well with the soda.
When the cottage cheese begins to melt gradually and becomes homogeneous, stir it constantly so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Keep the curd in the fire until it becomes completely liquid and does not pass the characteristic sour smell.
When the cottage cheese becomes a dense liquid of milky color, without removing the cheese from the water bath, add salt, spices and herbs to taste.
Hold the fire for another 10 minutes, then pour into a mold to freeze and move to the refrigerator.
This cheese is stored as cottage cheese, approximately 5 days.
The homemade cream cheese is really worth it to enjoy its excellent flavor at least once in a lifetime.
